Index/Equity linked Term Deposits offer returns linked to the performance of one or more stock market indices or basket of stocks. The principal investment is guaranteed by the applicable provincial credit union deposit guarantee program. Unlike a fixed rate investment, these deposits do not provide a guaranteed rate of return; the return is based on the performance of the underlying index or assets. While there is no guarantee the investment will earn a return, there is no risk to the principal investment.
